Seattlepi.com is reporting that the next version of Mozilla's premiere web browser will be available on Tuesday afternoon at GetFirefox.com. Firefox 2.0 will continue to improve upon an already stable and fast product with anti-phishing, inline spell check, and session restoration. On the heels of last week's big announcement of Internet Explorer 7 by Microsoft, Mozilla Corporation is planning to continue to hack away at Internet Explorer's dominant market share by providing a safer, faster, and more intuitive web browser with Firefox 2.0.

ars Technica - Microsoft touts Vista-ready hardware and software

An announcement was made by Microsoft's VP of Windows Client Marketing, Mike Sievert, detailing new logos and wording for hardware and software designed for Windows Vista by third parties. Products will either carry the "Works with Windows Vista" logo to show that the product is compatible or "Certified for Windows Vista" which ensures the best performance with the upcoming operating system.

Microsoft also announced that Internet Explorer 7 will be available "sometime in the next two weeks" and Windows Media Player 11 will be available October 24.
