Who needs class when you have a podcast?

Who needs class when you have a podcast?

ARS Technica wrote an article about the changing of the classroom environment and student mentality with the proliferation of lecture podcasting and web-based learning. Some students question why they should come to the classroom at all if they can listen to the lecture on their iPod on their own time and interact on the web in the wee hours of the morning. While some faculty are willing to embrace new ways of learning, some question whether this change of attitude teaches students the necessary disciplines of traditional learning.
