Early adopters are getting prepared for the debut of Blu-ray movies. These early adopters will want to be prepared to fork over quite a bit of money for the movies, the player, the HDTV-ready TV, the surround sound system, and gourmet popcorn. It will be awhile before Blu-ray or HD-DVD become household terms if they ever catch on at all. Some industry experts are venturing that online distribution will be the way movies and television will be consumed in the near future as broadband becomes more ubiquitous.
