BetaNews | Google Launches Picasa Web Albums
With the advent of digital cameras comes the necessity of organizing and fixing up your digital masterpieces. Google's Picasa digital photo application is a must have for your Windows users out there. (Apple users are already aware of the built-in iPhoto application which has much of the same features as Google's Picasa.) Now Google has brought Picasa to the next level to simplify photo sharing on the web with Picasa Web Albums. Organize the photos you want to share and upload them to the website (up to 250 MB). Then share the link with your friends (more info). As is typical of new Google services, the service is in beta and requires an invitation to your Gmail account.
