Ubuntu, Linux for Human Beings. If you haven't heard of the mysterious Linux operating system, you will be hearing more about it in the months and years to come. The most famous operating systems include Apple OS X, Microsoft Windows XP, Linux (many flavors), and Unix (many flavors). The main consumer operating systems available are Apple OS X and Microsoft Windows XP. The people at Ubuntu are trying to make Linux more and more friendly to the average person, and best of all it's free.
