BetaNews | D-Link Releases Wi-Fi Flip Phone
The VoIP revolution continues as the industry provides simpler devices to connect with people. D-Link announced their new WiFi VoIP flip phone starting at $249.99 USD. Netgear's WiFi phone (compatible with Skype) starts at $299.99. Unfortunately with these high prices, only early adopters will be willing to pay such a high price for a service that is not as universal as a cell phone. The phone would connect to any wireless network and then allow you to make ordinary telephone calls. A service contract with an IP telephony provider like Vonage is required.
